Privacy Policy

• Information you give us. Name, business name, job title, email address, phone number, property address, unit or room counts, and any details you include in a quote request, form submission, call or message.
• Business contact and prospecting data. Business contact details about people at commercial properties (name, title, business email, business phone, company, website and public professional profile links) obtained from our own research and from third-party business-data providers, used to identify and contact potential commercial customers.
• Account, project and service information. Proposals, deal and pipeline records, contracts, site and equipment details, installation and service-start dates, and support history.
• Communications metadata and content. Records of calls and messages we place or receive, including phone numbers, timestamps, duration, call status, outcome/disposition notes, and — where applicable and permitted by law — call recordings.
• Billing information. Billing contact details, subscription and plan data, invoices, payment status and payment history.
• Platform access information. For authorized Sat Star users of Sat Star Connect: account email, authentication credentials managed by our hosting provider, role assignments, and activity/audit records of actions taken in the platform.
• Automatically collected information. IP address, browser and device type, referring page, pages viewed and time on page, collected through cookies and similar technologies used for site analytics and business-visitor identification.

• Respond to quote requests and inquiries, and prepare proposals and pricing.
• Identify and contact commercial properties that may need our services.
• Provide, install, service and support the systems you order from us.
• Administer accounts, subscriptions, invoicing, payments and collections.
• Maintain our own financial books and records, including general ledger and payables.
• Send service notices and, where permitted, relevant business communications.
• Improve the Site and platform, measure marketing performance, and prevent fraud or misuse.
• Meet legal, tax, accounting and contractual obligations.

We do not sell personal information. We use a small number of vetted providers that process information on our behalf, each for a specific purpose:

• Application hosting and database (Lovable Cloud, built on Supabase). Hosts Sat Star Connect and our operational database: leads, contacts, properties, deals, proposals, activity and audit records, and staff authentication.
• Apollo.io. Business-contact prospecting and enrichment, and website visitor identification. We send search and enrichment queries and receive business contact records; imported records are de-duplicated against our existing data before they are stored.
• Twilio. Outbound and inbound calling and related communications. Twilio processes phone numbers, call metadata (status, duration, timestamps) and, where recording is used and permitted, recordings.
• Zoho (CRM and Zoho Billing). Customer records, subscriptions, invoices, payment collection and the customer billing portal. Zoho Billing is our system of record for customer subscriptions, invoices and payments.
• Sage 50 Premium Accounting. Our internal accounting system of record for general ledger and accounts payable. Sat Star Connect is designed to receive read-only financial summary snapshots from Sage through a secure bridge on our own Windows server; it does not write to, or change, accounting data. This connection is a planned Phase 1 capability and is not active until that bridge is deployed and configured.
• Other providers. Programming providers and distributors, installation and service subcontractors, email delivery, domain/DNS and security services, and professional advisors.

We may also disclose information when required by law, to enforce our agreements, or in connection with a business transfer.

Sat Star Communications does not collect or store full payment card numbers, card security codes, or full bank account credentials in Sat Star Connect or on the Site. Card and bank payments are collected and processed by our billing provider and its payment processors through the hosted billing portal. We receive only limited billing status information — for example invoice amount, payment status, method type and, where provided, the last digits of the instrument — for accounting and account-servicing purposes.

The Site uses cookies and similar technologies to keep the Site working, remember preferences, and understand how visitors use our pages. This includes the Apollo.io website visitor tracker, which is used to identify the businesses visiting our pages for B2B marketing purposes. Most browsers let you refuse or delete cookies; some parts of the Site may not function as intended if you do.

If you provide a phone number, or if your business contact details appear in our prospecting data, you may receive calls or text messages from us or our representatives about your inquiry, your account, or our services. Calls may be monitored or recorded where permitted by law for quality and training purposes. You can ask us to stop contacting you at any time using the contact details below, or by replying STOP to a text message. Numbers we are asked not to call are added to our internal do-not-contact list and suppressed from future calling.

Text messages are sent only to numbers that gave us consent, and message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to opt out, or HELP for help.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties. Information is shared only with the service providers that help us deliver those messages and operate our business. Full details are in our SMS & Calling Policy.

We keep information for as long as needed to provide services, operate our business, and meet legal, tax, accounting and contractual obligations, and to resolve disputes. Prospecting records that do not become customers are removed or refreshed as our data is maintained; customer, billing and accounting records are kept for the longer periods required for financial and legal recordkeeping. You can ask us to delete personal information we hold about you and we will do so where we are not required to retain it.

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures intended to protect information. These include authenticated access to Sat Star Connect, role-based permissions with administrator-only access to sensitive functions, database-level access rules, encryption in transit, credentials stored as server-side secrets rather than in application code or the browser, signature or token verification on automated integration endpoints, and read-only handling of accounting data. No method of transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to stop calling or texting, or ask us to stop sending marketing communications, by contacting us using the details below. Marketing emails also include an unsubscribe link. We will respond consistent with applicable law. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights; tell us what you are requesting and we will work with you in good faith.

The Site and platform are intended for businesses and property operators and are not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

We operate in the United States and our records are maintained here. Some of our providers are global companies that may process or store information in facilities outside the United States. If you contact us from outside the United States, you understand that your information will be processed in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those in your location.

The Site links to third-party services, including our billing portal and programming provider pages. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, not this one.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The effective date above shows when it was last revised, and continued use of the Site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
