What is bulk TV for an apartment or condominium community?
Instead of every resident buying their own service, the property takes one commercial account and distributes television to every unit from a single headend. The community pays one negotiated rate, and residents get service on move-in day without scheduling an individual install.
Can amenity areas run on the same system?
Yes, and they need to be handled correctly. Clubhouses, fitness rooms, pool areas and lobbies are public-view spaces that require commercially licensed feeds. We include them in the design rather than leaving them on a residential account.
What does a multifamily system cost?
Two parts: the one-time system — headend, distribution, labor — and the recurring commercial programming, generally priced per unit against the package tier you choose. We quote both line by line after a site survey, because unit count, building layout and existing cabling drive the total.
Do we have to rewire the buildings?
Usually not. Most apartment and condominium buildings already have coax risers that can carry a bulk headend signal. The survey tests what exists and the proposal only includes cabling that genuinely has to be replaced.
Will residents lose service during the cutover?
Work is phased building by building or riser by riser, and every outlet is tested before that section is handed back, so occupied units are not left dark between stages.
Can Sat Star own and operate the system?
Yes. As a private cable operator we can own and run the system on the property's behalf, so the community has one bill, one point of contact and one company accountable for the signal.
